World Adherence Day
Comments are off for this post.
On March 27, 2025, the World Adherence Day is celebrated for the first time – an initiative aimed at raising awareness of the importance of adherence to therapy. Despite the rapid advancements in medicine, treatment effectiveness still largely depends on patients following prescribed recommendations.
The Medication Adherence Research Center at the Medical University of Lodz actively works to improve treatment adherence by participating in international research projects. As part of the Erasmus+ Skills4Adherence initiative, a modern online course for healthcare professionals has been developed. Additionally, participation in the Horizon 2020 GATEKEEPER project has led to the creation of the mobile application Moje Zdrowie na co Dzień (“My Daily Health”), which helps patients systematically follow their treatment regimens. These successes pave the way for further initiatives, including two new Horizon Europe – Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) projects, focusing on innovative solutions to enhance adherence to therapeutic recommendations.
