Researchers from the Department of Family Medicine, and Departmet of Preventive Medicine at the Medical University of Lodz participated in the kick-off meeting of the ENKORE project, which took place on January 30-31, 2025, in Madrid. ENKORE is a project implemented under the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) – a public-private partnership funded by the EU that supports the development of innovative solutions in medicine and healthcare through collaboration between academia, industry, and the public sector.
As part of ENKORE, which brings together 52 partners from 15 EU countries, the UK, and the USA, experts from various fields will work on eco-friendly solutions for the healthcare sector. The project’s goal is to create the conditions for the development of sustainable, circular, and safe medicines, their packaging, and medical devices.
The Medical University of Lodz was represented at the meeting by Prof. Przemysław Kardas, Prof. Anna Lipert, and Dr. Paweł Lewek, who contributed their expertise in medication adherence and co-creation of innovations, leveraging UMED’s Living Lab and its ecoUMED environmental policy.
