Celebrating a Milestone: Over 1,000 Engaged Learners in the Skills4Adherence Project!
We are proud to announce that the Skills4Adherence Project, directed by Department of family, Medicine, medical University of Lodz, has reached an important milestone: over 1,000 healthcare professionals and students have now completed our free online course, enhancing their skills to tackle patient non-adherence and manage polypharmacy, especially among elderly patients with chronic conditions.
Patient non-adherence remains a significant challenge, affecting approximately 50% of individuals with chronic diseases and leading to poor health outcomes and increased costs. Yet, practical guidance for healthcare providers on effective interventions has often been limited. Skills4Adherence bridges this gap with an innovative, evidence-based curriculum — accessible at no cost — that equips healthcare professionals with strategies to improve adherence and manage polypharmacy.
The Skills4Adherence Program consists of three essential modules:
- Strategies to Improve Patient Adherence
- Polypharmacy Prevention Techniques
- Methods to Enhance the Uptake of Adherence Interventions for the Elderly
Available in English, Italian, Polish, and Portuguese, this free online course offers healthcare professionals flexible, impactful training that can be implemented directly into their practice.
