On July 16, 2024, Dr. Paweł Lewek from the Department of Family Medicine presented the results of the ODIN project. The study, conducted at the Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical University of Lodz using a robot innovatively designed in collaboration with partners from Spain, Italy, and Greece, garnered significant interest among the conference attendees. The introduction of robots into widespread use in European hospitals may soon be possible thanks to this pioneering work led by Professor Przemysław Kardas. Presented in Gran Canaria, Spain, at the IWBBIO 2024 conference (11th International Work-Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical), the results in the presentation titled “Autonomous Robotic Transportation System Proves Effective and Safe for Blood Sample Transport in Emergency Department” are part of a series of events aimed at promoting the achievements of the ODIN project.
